Print Quality and Light Fastness
These high quality prints are created from photographs taken on fine grain professional photographic transparency film, most often Fuji Velvia slide film. The slides are scanned to produce high resolution digital images which are then tweaked on the computer by the photographer using Adobe Photoshop software. When the images reach the artist's vision for the scene depicted, they are printed on either a Epson Stylus Pro 7600 or 9600 printer, depending on the final print size, using Epson Ultrachrome archival inks. Prints are available on matt, textured or canvas archival papers.
Research shows that such prints, when kept under glass and out of direct sunlight for long periods of time, have a preliminary light fastness rating of about 100 years.
Print Sizes
Blue Ridge Views offers quality signed prints for sale at its Jacksonville Center Gallery in Floyd, Va., by telephone, email and over the internet via this web site. Because most customers prefer to select their own frames and matting to complement their home or office decor, we do not normally ship framed or matted prints. (An exception is the sale of framed prints that are on display in the Jacksonville Center and when the purchaser takes delivery at that location.)
While special sizes are available upon request as a custom order, unframed signed prints are available in the sizes below. Some prints are slightly larger than normal to best present the image. Due to technical and artistic considerations, some print dimensions may be slightly smaller or larger than noted below.

All signed Blue Ridge Views prints are available on archival matt paper using long lasting archival inks as a matter of course. (For more information, visit the "Print Quality" page.)
These same
long-lasting qualities are available as custom orders on the increasingly
popular canvas sheets that provide the texture and appearance of highly
realistic and detailed oil paintings.

Print Availability
Every Blue Ridge Views print is made to order. Therefore, unless Don and Donna are in the field, you should receive your print(s) in two to six weeks. (If a delay is anticipated, you will be notified by email or regular mail, provided we have your address.)
Refunds and Exchanges
Because we want to please customers, will will refund or exchange any print that does not meet expectations, provided it is returned within 30 days of receipt. All shipments are insured, therefore, products damaged during shipment are the responsibility of the carrier.
